A mostly flat 1.2 km promenade above Anava Park on the southern edge of Avnei Chen, accessible to strollers and wheelchairs from its main entrances. About 15 minutes' walk.

A 1.5 km circular climb (about an hour) on the western edge of Avnei Chen past the ruins of the village of Barfilia, old carob and olive trees, a burial cave and a lookout. Best for the February-March bloom; not accessible.

A wide dirt path of about 4.5 km along the Anava stream, from the Anava Park lake west to the Paatei Modiin railway station, with shade, benches and lighting. Good for walking and cycling; not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.

Parks & playgrounds
The city's central nature park, running from the city square to Wadi Anaba. It has a 14,000 m² ornamental lake, a 1,000-seat amphitheatre, an adventure playground about 8 m high, summer fountains, about 3 km of paths, and the 4.5 km Anaba trail toward Paatei Modiin station.
